Uncompromising Safety

Infection control in our office is very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the ADA, the occupational safety and health administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Our office utilizes the latest in digital radiography (digital x-rays), which reduce a patient's radiation exposure significantly compared to traditional x-ray systems.
According to the American Nuclear Society, radiation is around us all the time. Scientists call this "background radiation" and measure it in units called millirems. The average dose per person from all sources is about 360 millirems (mrems) per year. It is not uncommon, however, to receive far more than that amount in a given year.
One traditional dental radiograph (x-ray) exposes a patient to 1 millirem of radiation.
One digital radiograph, the type used in our office, exposes a patient to 0.1 - 0.5 millirem.
